The Usual

Poster of a woman in a bar with awards and accolades listed on the left side, and a welcoming message about a Manhattan bar.

The Usual series follows a revolving door of regulars seen through the eyes of their local bartender during a single shift. Bartender plays the role of confidant, therapist, and impartial life coach as the regulars come to terms with their respective obstacles: a failing marriage and infidelity, a budding relationship and jealousy, the meaning of life and death, like and love, friendship and trust. The stories are tied together by the Bartender and her interactions with everyone who enters the bar.

Each episode focuses on and tells the story of a particular regular and is named after their favorite drink.
